Members and supporters of Community Tributaries have been invited by the Darebin Ethnic Communities Council to participate two events in recognition of UN International Day of Remembrance & Dignity for all Victims of Genocide & other Atrocity Crimes.
Community Tributaries President, Mr Clovis Mwamba will speak about the on-going genocide in the Democratic Republic of Congo at 4pm.
The two events are:
Event One: Annual Multicultural & Multi-faith Procession & Reflection
- Date & Time: Sunday, 9th December, 2018 from 2:30pm
- Venue: Darebin Community Monument for All Victims of Genocide,
Ray Bramham Gardens (Rear of Darebin Arts Centre),
Corner Bell Street & St Georges Road, Preston.
- Candles, Incense and Flowers will be supplied.
Event Two: Public Lecture & Light Refreshments
- Date & Time: Sunday, 9th December, 2018 from 4:00pm
- Venue: Darebin Intercultural Centre, (in the Pearl Room, 1st Floor),
59A Roseberry Avenue (Opposite Preston Police Station), Preston.
- Speaker: Mr Clovis Mwamba
- Lecture Topic: The On-going Genocide in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (formerly Zaire).
